LUNCHTIME SUPERVISOR – 5 HRS PER WEEK

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary is a successful primary school located in Parkstone, Poole. Our OfSTED inspection recognised that we are a caring, inclusive and improving school.
We are seeking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor to provide supervision and assistance to our children at lunchtime.
Previous experience and a First Aid qualification is an advantage, but not essential.
The appointment will be for 5 hours per week, 12.15pm to 1.15pm.
The successful applicant must undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check prior to appointment.

TEACHING ASSISTANT – 30 HRS PER WEEK

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary is a successful primary school located in Parkstone, Poole. Our OfSTED inspection recognised that we are a caring, inclusive and improving school.
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work across different classes, where support is required. The successful candidate must be willing to work with a range of children, some with special educational needs.
The appointment will be for 30 hours per week, 8.30am – 3.30pm, with a 1hr break for lunch.
The successful candidate will need to:

- Appreciate the impact of complex needs on a child’s well-being and learning
- Be able to follow direction but also use their initiative
- Be an enthusiastic, well organised and committed member of staff
- Have a calm patient manner
- Have good personal organisation and be flexible and positive in their approach with strong interpersonal skills
- Foster positive relationships with all members of the school community

Experience of working with children with special educational and medical needs would be an advantage, however full training will be given.
